Project Overview
Drac were contracted to supply and install 3 x standby diesel generators and a gas fired grid connect generator for the upgrade works at 405 Bourke Street, Melbourne. Our scope of works included the design of the generator rooms including the acoustic, exhaust and fuel requirements for the generators. The site installation works included the supply and installation of a 35,000L underground bulk tank, a full fuel system for the diesel generators, fabrication and installation of acoustic attenuators and the fabrication and installation of generator mufflers and exhaust pipework.

On completion of the works, the generators were fully tested and commissioned to the satisfaction of the end client. The ever-changing requirements of the customer necessitated the re-design of the generator room multiple times with particular attention being paid to the generator ventilation system.
