Project Overview
Drac were contracted as the lead mechanical contractor for a 15MW natural gas fired grid connect power station to power the city of Darwin NT. Our scope included design, fabrication and installation of the mechanical plant including cooling water, fuel gas, lube oil and exhaust systems. Additionally Drac were contracted for the heavy lift and shift including cranage, positioning and fixing 6 x G3520H Generator sets as well as the inlet and discharge attenuators. The power station, located 15km out of Darwin Central is due to make first power in early February 2021 and is capable of powering up to 9750 average homes.
